WORKSHOPS
Our workshops are a wealth of information presented in about an 8-hour event. As a group we explore the concepts behind audio engineering, get hands on with the gear, and apply what we learn to the praise band. Workshops can be open to other churches you already network with to help you build a supporting and networking community. The seats are very limited to keep the group small and interactive. Some sample topics include:
- Microphone types, selection, placement.
- Correct cabling.
- Frequencies and EQ.
- Eliminating feedback.
- Monitor mixes.
- The ins and outs of a mixing console.
- Using outboard gear: FX, Compressors, Gates, etc.
- Creating a musical mix- Keep it simple! Less is more!
HOSTING: Churches interested in hosting a workshop have a great incentive. It will be your system optimized and your worship team dialed-in for the event. Please contact us to find out more information.
A workshop is a great event to host or attend that allows the church audio volunteer to network with other volunteers in a similar role at their church. Typically taking place over a full Saturday (or 2 consecutive evenings), this event presents valuable information that is the foundation of audio engineering and introduces more advanced topics for the eager learner.
For a more focused, exclusive training event specifically designed and targeted for your church, your crew, your band and sound system, please consider our seminar.
